As we reported earlier this week, Thom Yorke has formed a new side project. The as-yet-unnamed group also will feature Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea along with drummer Joey Waronker (Beck, Elliot Smith, The Smashing Pumpkins), Forro in the Dark percussionist Mauro Refosco and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. Initially the quintet had confirmed two dates, this coming Saturday and Sunday in Los Angeles at the Orpheum Theatre. However, Yorke has just announced a last minute gig set for this evening in LA at Echoplex. Tickets will go on sale at noon PDT. The band is expected to focus on material from Yorke’s 2006 album The Eraser.
