moe.down X kicks off today at the Snow Ridge Ski Resort in Turin, NY. Folks who cannot attend will be able to check out much of the main stage action over the course of the weekend, via a stream at iClips.net. All six moe. sets will be offered, along with music from Umphrey’s McGee, Ani DiFranco, Method Man and Redman, Sam Bush and more. The festival line-up also includes: Ominous Seapods, Matthew Sweet, The New Mastersounds,The Heavy Pets, Okemah, Nate Wilson Group, Family Groove Company, The London Souls, My Dear Disco and Lynch. The iClips broadcast will begin on Saturday and will feature live performances as well as music taped earlier at moe.down X.

Meanwhile, folks who are attending moe.down will have an opportunity to attend a special screening of the film Burma VJ. The documentary “tells the story of the Saffron Revolution in Burma, the monks who marched in peaceful protest against the military dictatorship, and the underground video journalists who got their story out and told to the world.” A number of the monks along with some Burmese students will attend a screening on Saturday morning at 10AM in the lodge.
