Neil Young produced the 10 disc set Archives Volume 1 (1963-1972) which has been released today on DVD (to support denser audio tracks). The package contains recordings from Young’s early days in The Squires on through his 1972 release Harvest. Both live tracks and studio tracks from Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Neil Young with Crazy Horse are included in the release that comes with a 236 hardcover book offering detailed notes and images. Along with unreleased songs, mixes and live recordings the package also offers a number of vintage interviews and Young’s film Journey Through The Past. Archives Volume 1 (1963-1972) lists for $249.99 (with a Blu-Ray version selling for $349.99).
