Former New Groove of the Month Licorice will hit the road this week for a short tour of Colorado. The run will include the bands return to the renowned Telluride Jazz Celebration, where in past years the band has shared the stage with the likes of Roy Hargrove, Larry Coryell and Mike Dillon. The band has spent the past few months working on new material in the studio, the follow-up to 2008s A Million Grains of Sand EP. The run will kick off at Evergreen, COs Cactus Jacks on May 30 and also include appearances in Fort Collins (6/1), Denver (6/2), Crested Butte (6/3) and Telluride (6/4-5). Licorice will then make its tenth appearance at New Yorks Blue Note on June 20.
