The Benevento/Mathis/Barr Trio has added a last minute show at New Yorks Fillmore at Irving Plaza this Saturday. The trio will open for bassist Reed Mathis other band, Tea Leaf Green. Last night, Benevento/Mathis/Barr Trio played with The Bad Plus at New Yorks Merkin Hall as part of the New Sounds Live! series hosted by WNYCs John Schaefer. Tea Leaf Green and the Benevento/Mathis/Barr Trio will perform at Bostons Paradise this evening. Meanwhile, Beneventos Duo partner Joe Russo will play with Todd Sickafoose’s Tiny Resistors at Brooklyn, NYs Barbes this evening.
