A forthcoming benefit album will direct proceeds to Preservation Hall in New Orleans’ French Quarter. For nearly fifty years Preservation Hall has served as ‘a sanctuary, to protect and honor New Orleans Jazz which had lost much of its popularity to modern jazz and rock n roll.’ Jim James is one of the individuals to record with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to support the organization’s ongoing efforts. The disc is expected to see a fall release with the full details yet to be announced.
