Bonnaroo has both confirmed several new musicians and announced the first round of comedians scheduled to appear at the eighth-annual festival. This springs artist additions include rap icons Public Enemy, singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco, the Malian duo Amadou & Mariam, heavy metal titans Shadows Fall, Ohio-bred rock band Heartless Bastards, bluegrass troubadours Tony Rice Unit and indie-synth group Passion Pit. Other additions include High On Fire, Dillinger Escape Plan, Wailing Souls, The Itals, MURS
White Rabbits, Janelle Mon Hockey and Pretty Lights.
In the comedy realm, Bonnaroo will welcome Jimmy Fallon, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Presents Bonnapoo 2009, Aziz Ansari, Michael Ian Black & Michael Showalter, Kristen Schaal, Arj Barker, Todd Barry, Rory Albanese, Wayne Federman, Nick Thune, Nick Kroll, Kurt Braunohler, Amy Schumer, Kumail Nanjiani and Pete Homes. John Oliver and Rob Riggle will also host An Evening (or Afternoon) with the Daily Show. As previously reported, Bonnaroo will take place in Manchester, TN from June 11-14.
