The latest installment in the Pure Jerry archival series will highlight an acoustic show from 1986. Pure Jerry: Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium, 2/28/86 captures Garcia in a duo setting with longtime friend and bassist John Kahn. The show includes Garcia-Hunter originals such as ‘Friend Of The Devil,’ ‘Run For The Roses’ and ‘Dire Wolf’ as well as covers of ‘Little Sadie,’ ‘When I Paint My Masterpiece,’ ‘Spike Driver Blues’ and ‘Oh Babe, It Ain’t No Lie.’ The performance ends with a notable run from ‘Bird Song’ into ‘Ripple’ and on into ‘Goodnight Irene.’
