The fifth installment of PhanPhest will take place on August 20-23 at the Kempton Community Recreation Center in Kempton, PA. No bands have yet been announced for the event, although three of the participants may well have participated in a PhanPhest Hampton Pre-Party last night in Asbury Park at the Saint. The three groups at this show: Lemon Juice, BuzzUniverse and the Atmosferics, all offered their nods to Phish. Lemon Juice played ‘Chalkdust Torture’ and ‘Down with Disease,’ the Atmospherics offered ‘Weekapaug Groove’ and BuzzUniverse delivered an impromptu Run OJ Run jam (with echoes of Phish’s 6/17/94 performance), along with ‘I Didnt Know,’ ‘Get Back on the Train’ and ‘Suzy Greenburg’ where PhanPhest founder Drew Phan Wainjert sang the second verse Dude-of-Life-style.
