Michael Franti hosted his annual 911 Power to the Peaceful festival in San Franciscos Golden Gate Park yesterday afternoon. In addition to a performance by Spearhead, the event featured rare acoustic performances by Ziggy Marley and Warren Haynes, as well as a variety of speakers and DJs. During Spearheads set, Marley also took the stage with his onetime tour companions for a version of his fathers Stir It Up. Franti and his camp then moved over to the San Francisco venue the Mezzanine for another performance as part of the official Power to the Peaceful after party.
Franti will appear Redmond, WAs Concerts at Marymoor on September 12, while Marley will take the stage the following day at Santa Barbara, CAs West Beach Music & Arts Festival.
