Tea Leaf Green spread at San Franciscos Fillmore Auditorium over the weekend for a pair of packed guest-heavy performances. On Friday pedal steel guitarist Barry Sless and G.E. Smith, both of whom opened the evening with their new project Moonalice, stepped out for Vote on Tuesday and Criminal Intent, respectively. Then on Saturday Tea Leaf Green invited out guitarist Jason Finazzo, from the local band The Naysayers, for a run through Dirty Deeds. Finally, at the end of the night, new Tea Leaf Green bassist Reed Mathis moved over to electric guitar while original bassist Ben Chambers joined his former band onstage for the first time since October for a version of Planet of Green Love. Tea Leaf Green will appear at Jam in the ‘Dam on March 16.
