While Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey Reed Mathis has been busy playing in Tea Leaf Green and with Marco Benevento as of late, his time with JFJO is far from over. The group will issue its next studio album this April, before hitting the road for an extensive tour. As of press time, JFJO’s outing is scheduled to kick off at San Diego, CA’s Winstons on April 8 and run through a series of Jazz Fest appearances in early May. Mathis will perform with Benevento and Andrew Barr at New Yorks Sullivan Hall this evening. Brad Barr will open the evenings festivities.
