Lincoln Center will host its tenth annual American Songbook series from January 23 through March 1. The prestigious New York City venue will present seventeen evenings of music, representing ‘some of todays most gifted interpreters of song.’ Former New Groove of the Month Grace Potter & the Nocturnals (Feb. 21) is part of the program along with Jammy veteran Bettye LaVette (Feb. 8), Joe Henry with Brad Meldhau (Feb. 7), Punch Brothers (Feb. 20- Chris Thile, Greg Garrison, Gabe Witcher, Chris Eldridge and Noam Pickelny), Jimmy Scott (Feb. 22), k.d. lang (Feb. 26-28) and Christine Ebersole (Feb. 29). The series will conclude on March 1 with a performance by Patti Smith and tickets for all of these shows are on sale at the Lincoln Center site.
