As previously reported, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey bassist Reed Mathis and Slip drummer Andrew Barr will perform with Marco Benevento at New Yorks Joes Pub tomorrow evening Benevento at New Yorks Joes Pub tomorrow evening. Jambands.com/Relix has also learned that while in New York the longtime friends will enter the studio to continue work on a new project focusing on Beneventos solo material. Earlier this year Benevento, Mathis and former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain also laid down some tracks for the forthcoming project which will follow Beneventos recent release, Live at Tonic. In addition, Benevento has confirmed three Monday performances at Brooklyns Bar 4 with saxophonist Tony Barba and drummer Conor Elmes beginning November 12.
