After a few west coast screenings, the documentary Chasin’ Gus’ Ghost will make its east premiere and its film festival debut, next week at the Woodstock Film Festival. Chasin’ Gus’ Ghost explores the history of jug band music from the 1920’s on through the present, incorporating interviews, live performances, archival footage, and photograph, with appearances from Bob Weir, John Sebastian, Geoff and Maria Muldaur and many others. The documentary will screen on Saturday October 13th at 10PM, at the Bearsville Theater, the same locale where site editor, Dean Budnick, screened his documentary film, Wetlands Preserved: The Story of an Activist Rock Club as part of 2006 Woodstock Film Festival (stay tuned for a major announcement regarding Wetlands Preserved in the near future).
