Following a preview earlier this month, SIRIUS Satellite Radio will launch its new Grateful Dead Channel a week from this Friday. The channel will present original shows hosted by Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann along with David Gans and David Lemieux. In addition, as one might expect, it will offer a number of live shows, and in fact the Grateful Dead Channel will begin its programming on September 7 at 12PM ET (SIRIUS channel 32) with a broadcast of the band’s performance on July 21, 1974 from the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, CA.
