Govt Mule is currently in the final days of a European tour. The band is certainly digging in for these performances, a number of which have included guest appearances by harmonica player Hook Herrera (who was born in East San Jose, California but has a strong following in Europe). For instance on Friday at The Paradiso in Amsterdam, Herrera joined in for Keep From Crying, Wang Dang Doodle, Goin’ Down Slow and Can’t Hold Out. A few nights earlier, the band members celebrated the first of two shows at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland by stepping out for their encore wearing POLSKA T-shirts. The next evening, the Mule offered a nod to the former Eastern Bloc nation by offering a rare second encore and changing the words of Tom Waits Goin Out West to Goin Out East.
