The Gathering of the Vibes has added a number of new artists to its marquee, including the Mickey Hart Band, Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Zero, Keller Williams and the Keels, Railroad Earth, Donna Jean & the Tricksters, Strangefolk, Ryan Montbleau Band, and Chuch. In addition, George Clinton and P-Funk and Deep Banana Blackout will anchor a tribute to James Brown, while Dark Star Orchestra will open the festival on August 9—-the twelfth anniversary of Jerry Garcias passing—-with a two-set tribute to the Grateful Dead leader. As previous reported, Gathering of the Vibes will take place in Bridgeport, CT, from August 9-12, featuring Bob Weir and RatDog, Buddy Guy, Los Lobos, Assembly of Dust, and Dirty Dozen Brass Band, among others. Tickets are still available at the ‘Way Advance’ price of $125 for a limited time. This marks the Gathering of the Vibes return to Bridgeport, its home in 1999 and 2000.
