Deep Banana Blackout vocalist Jen Durkin will be debuting a new project on Wednesday night at the Acoustic Cafn Bridgeport, CT. She describes Jen Durkin’s Equinox as a departure from the rock driven mayhem of Deep Banana this music is inspired by Stevie Wonder, Sade and Sergio Mendez with a few covers sprinkled in from Cold Blood, Labelle and The Isley Bros. Joining her will be her brother Johnny Durkin on percussion, their fellow bandmate Rob Somerville on sax and flute, Matt Detroy (piano), Steve Clarke (bass) and Hans Broecking (drums). Special guests are pledged as well for the show which will be recorded for a potential release.
