On Saturday Adrian Belew closed out his four night run with Umphreys McGee at South Bend, INs Morris Performing Arts Center. Like the first three nights of his run, Belew offered an opening set and performed with Umphreys McGee for the later chunk of its show. The guitarist emerged during Umphreys McGees Ringo and then led the sextet through its popular cover of King Crimsons Red. He returned during Umphreys McGees encore for a take on the Beatles I Want You (She’s So Heavy) and his own Thela Hun Ginjeet. On Friday Belew also joined Umphreys McGee for a handful of songs at Pontiac, MIs Clutch Cargos, including the Beatles’ Baby You’re a Rich Man, a Jazz Odyssey jam, #5, Thela Hun Ginjeet, and Thin Air.
Umphreys McGee will perform at Madison, WIs Orpheum Theater this Thursday .
