Last night at the Rumsey Playfield in New York Citys Central Park, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Galactic and Umphrey’s McGee shared a triple-threat bill. This marked the final night of the Galactic/ Umphrey’s McGee northeast run, and mid-way through their set, Umphrey’s invited Galactic keyboardist Rich Vogel to join them for Ringo (before closing out the night a bit later with a nod to their Partyin’ Peeps). All three bands who performed last evening will continue on the road, with Potter and the Nocturnals in the northeast, Umphreys returning to their native Midwest and Galactic routing though New England before it begins a series of summer shows with MOFROs JJ Grey opening and then joining the group on vocals for a few songs.
