Friendship Park is the fitting locale for a festival that will take place this weekend with a Grateful Dead flair. While the artwork for A Bears Picnic does not feature the groups iconic Dancing Bears logo, the line-up offers numerous group associated with the Dead. The Dark Star Orchestra will headline on Sunday, while New Riders of the Purple Sage close out the shows on Friday and Saturday, Other performers include Kettle Joe’s Psychedelic Swamp Revue (tonight) and a reunion of former Recipe bandmates Kris Kehr & Julie Edlow as part of a late night acoustic jam. Friendship Park is located in Milton, PA which is 20 miles south of Williamsport.
