Old-friends Max Creek and Strangefolk once again hosted their annual Memorial Day Strange-Creek gathering in Greenfield, MA over the weekend. A special event, Strange-Creek continued to celebrate the return of Jon Trafton, who has struggled with cancer for the past two years. Opening its set with Anchor, Strangefolk performed a number of songs from throughout their career, ranging from Like You Anyway, from the groups self-titled debut, to In Deep, from its latest release. Max Creeks co-headlining set also mixed covers with originals, ranging from its own You’re The Only One to the Grateful Deads Fire on the Mountain and One More Saturday Night (as well as Warren Zevons Werewolves of London.
