Last night, members of Hot Buttered Rum performed a stealth set at an event thrown by the natural energy bar company Clif Bar. Part of a Berkeley, CA fundraiser for the Oil and Water Project, which encourages young people around the world to make sustainable lifestyle choices through alternative energy, HBR joined the O + WP team for an extended Q&A session on the topic of alternative fuels. Later, the group ran through a number of its most popular tunes: Goin Up on the Mountain, Well-Oiled Machine and Firefly. Longtime champions of alternative energy, Hot Buttered Rum has toured in a veggie-oil powered bus since 2003. In fact, the title of the groups latest album, _ Well-Oiled Machine_, is an ode to the bluegrass-bases bands stead.
