The Slip’s Marc Friedman and Andrew Barr will revisit their jazz roots, and pay tribute to their Boston heritage this evening. The rhythm section will perform a set of avant jazz with alto saxophonist Jim Hobbs, one of their longtime heroes. The trio will take the stage at the Roxy tonight, followed by Sound Tribe Sector 9.
