Bob Weir and Ratdog will return to Mariaville, NY in August for the eleventh annual Gathering of the Vibes. Scheduled to take place from August 17-20, Gathering of the Vibes will feature two stages of music, including performances by Vibes veterans the Assembly of Dust, Deep Banana Blackout, Strangefolk, Juggling Suns, Scarecrow Collection and the Zen Tricksters, who will offer a set with Donna Jean Godchaux. Godchaux first performed with the Zen Tricksters at last year’s Gathering of the Vibes and debuted a new project, Kettle Joe’s Psychedelic Swamp Revue, with the seminal jamband at Plains, PA’s River Street Jazz Cafe Friday. Other confirmed performers include Yonder Mountain String Band, North Mississippi Allstars, Tea Leaf Green, Hot Tuna, Burning Spear, Keller Williams, U-Melt, Papa Mali, The Everyone Orchestra and David Gans. 2006 will mark Ratdog’s third appearance at the Gathering of the Vibes, following headlining slots in 2000 and 2005.
