After gigging around New Orleans since 2003, Ivan Neville took his Dumpstaphunk project on the road last year, jamming with the likes of Trey Anastasio, Eric Krasno and Bruce Willis along the way. But, leading up to Mardi Gras, Dumpstaphunk will return to the Big Easy for a series of dates around town. The funk collective will perform at Tipitina’s Uptown on February 23, appearing at the House of Blues a day latter and Howlin’ Wolf on the February 26. Later this spring, Dumpstaphunk will also hit the festival circuit with performances already confirmed for Live Oak, FLs Wannee (4/14), the Houston International Festival (4/23) and Black Mountain, NCs Lake Edens Art Festival (5/13).
