Govt Mule is currently in Austin recording its first studio album since 2004s D Voodoo at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Studio. At press time the group has laid down eleven news songs with producer Gordie Johnson, often using Nelsons own instruments and equipment. Warren Haynes and company have also set up a blog tracking the albums recording sessions on a daily basis. While the albums track listings is still a work in progress, Mule has set a August 22 release date for its forthcoming album .
