Omnipresent New Orleans drummer Russell Batiste will host a New Orleans Musician’s Benefit at New York’s Lion’s Den on December 14. Batiste’s “Friends” on this evening include David Russell Batiste Sr., Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Dave Dreiwitz (Ween) and Gordon Jones (DJ Williams Projekt) and Chris Jacobs, who will also open the evening along with his band The Bridge. In addition, Batiste’s Vida Blue bandmate Page McConnell will make a special appearance along with several additional special guests.
