Galactic, which will perform at Tipitinas this coming Saturday and Monday as part of the countdown to Mardi Gras, has confirmed sixteen additional shows beginning in late March. The band will focus on the Midwest for this tour which will begin on Marcy 29 at Headliner’s in Louisville, KY and will eventually route show with the groups final announced gig at the Wanee Music Festival on April 16. Opening many of the shows will be a showcase of performers from Media Darling Records (members of Galactic appeared on the labels The Humid Sounds of Media Darling Records). Galactic will also perform two nights at the Fillmore in Denver with Toots and the Maytals opening an April 8 show and Maceo Parker opening on the 9th.
