While Medeski Martin and Wood have no confirmed New York City dates in the near future, all three members of the group will be gigging in NYC later this month over two nights at Tonic. On December 14 Billy Martin will be joined by fellow drummer Calvin Weston and DJ Logic as ‘For No One In Particular’ (the three released a disc on Martin’s Amulet Records label last year). On the following evening John Medeski and Chris Wood will be joined by guitarist Marc Ribot and drummer Skoota Warner, a combination which if youre so inclined to drop in the first letters of Ribot and Warners first names with Medeski and Wood’s surnames, yields MMWW (ahh, acronym fun on a Friday)
