San Franciscos Sunfire Pleasure has decided to make a switch. No, not in terms of personnel or long distance carrier but rather the group’s name. Heretofore the band will call itself The New Up, which the group hopes will help highlight the new wave and indie aspects of our music. The quintet, which recently contributed a version of the Talking Heads ‘What a Day That Was’ with Eric Levy (Garaj Mahal) to a forthcoming tribute disc will show off its new moniker this evening at Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley, CA.
