Former new groove of the month Hot Buttered Rum String Band will travel to the east coast for a week of shows in mid-August. The band will bring its ‘high altitude California bluegrass’ (and hopefully its vegteble oil-fueled bus) to the The Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, MA on August 17 for the first gig, with the concluding performance scheduled for New York City’s Lion’s Den on August 25. Hot Buttered String Band is also one of the winners of Relix’s Jam Off! competition.
