Basketball Hall of Famer, Bill Walton, the hoop commentator and subject of last years Wheres Walton promotion during the NBA playoffs performed with the Dead on Wednesday night at the Oakland Arena. The longtime Dead Head appeared at the beginning of set two on percussion during Sugar Magnolia. In addition, the Dead were joined during that song and throughout the night by jazz saxophonist Greg Osby who also performed with the group on the previous night. At this point there is no information regarding the bands 2004 plans relative to the groups roster and tour dates.
