Due to the quick sellout of Jam Cruise (the music festival at sea which takes place January 6 10, 2004), Cloud 9 Adventures has announced plans for Jam Cruise II. The second cruise will depart Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on January 10 (shortly after JC I returns to port) and return on the 14th. Like the Maiden Voyage, the Imperial Majesty Regal Express will make stops in Nassau, the Bahamas and Key West, FL. Performers for Jam Cruise II include Galactic, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Les Claypool, The Disco Biscuits, Donna the Buffalo, Yonder Mountain String Band, Rebirth Brass Band, RAQ, Codetalkers featuring Col. Bruce Hampton and the Hackensaw Boys, among others. Cabin prices range from $500 to $1025, per person, plus port charges, service fees and gratuities. Jam Cruise I passengers will be given first option to book reservations for the second cruise. Beginning July 21 at 10 a.m. MST, those that were placed on a waiting list during the original on-sale will have an opportunity to purchase tickets. Any remaining space will be available to the public on July 22 at 10 a.m. MST. The ship can accommodate 900 passengers.
Jam Cruise I features Galactic, Keller Williams, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Disco Biscuits, Peter Rowan’s Reggaeabilly, Billy Nershi (of The String Cheese Incident) and Liza, Jerry Joseph, Mofro, Particle, Umphrey’s McGee, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Tishamingo, Ming & FS and DJ Z-Trip.
