On May 14, Jamie Masefield and Marc Ribot will present a night of music by influential jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. The show, which will take place at New York’s Tonic, marks the first time that the mandolin player and guitarist have collaborated, and will carry both players afield from the contexts in which they are best known- Masefield for his Jazz Mandolin Project and Ribot for his own recordings and his work with John Zorn, Tom Waits and MMW. The pair will be joined by additional musicians for this performance.
