NEW ORLEANS – Members of Psychedelic Breakfast took the stage with local New Orleans group Dimorphodon last night at Cafrasil. During the bands opening set, guitarist Tim Palmieri, drummer Adrian Tramontano
and keyboardist Jordan Giangreco sat in for three songs, including The Talking Heads Crosseyed and Painless. The set also included a cover of Phishs Carini.
Dimorphodons drummer, Dan Caro, is quite unique in that he has no hands (he was severely burned at a young age). He performs by securing a drumstick to his right wrist and grasping the other with what remains of his left hand. He has had great success however, collaborating with artists such as George Porter Jr., Michael Ray and the Cosmic Krewe, Mark Mullins (Bonerama, Harry Connick Jr.), and John Sinclair, among others.
Dimorphodon plays next this Tuesday at Polynesian Joe’s in New Orleans. The groups official website is www.dimorphodon.com.
