Mountain of Venus has announced the release of its third album, Live at Ciceros, recorded at the St. Louis venue last December. The group will tour in support of the disc beginning March 15 at The Bar Next Door in Springfield, MO. The itinerary also includes stops in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont.
Last night the band played a Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Celebration at Chesters in Fayetteville, AR. Trumpeter Jeff Grey (Eckobase) sat in at the beginning of the second set for The Mardi Gras Song and remained for Two Angels. Guitarist Earl Cate (Cate Brothers, Levon Helm) then joined MOV for Said & Done and the classic, Cant Find My Way Home.
