Count MButu and fellow Coloradoans The Motet collaborated with String Cheese Incident during the last couple shows. Last night at Big Spring Jam in Huntsville, AL, Dominic Lalli (saxophone), Dave Watts (percussion) and Scott Messersmith (percussion) came out at the beginning of the second set for Under African Skies and remained for Freedom Jazz Dance, which also included Mark Donovan (guitar) and Greg Raymond (keyboards). The Motet was in the area for a post-Cheese concert at the Crossroad Music Hall in Huntsville and will travel to South Carolina Tuesday for a gig at Cumberland’s in Charleston following SCIs show at Gaillard Municipal Auditorium.
Saturdays String Cheese show at the Fox Theater in Atlanta featured an appearance by Count M’Butu (Aquarium Rescue Unit), who joined in at the end of the first for Mouna Bowa > Drums > Way Back Home.
