Page McConnell sat in with Particle last night at Club Metronome in Burlington, VT as the band celebrated its 200th show. McConnell (Phish) played Moog and synthesizer during Golden Gator. Page has been exploring similar trance-funk sounds as of late with his project Vida Blue, which recently completed a national tour.
Particle continues to host a variety of special guests on its current trek. During a late night set Sunday at the Berkshire Mountain Music Festival, the band welcomed drummer Dave Watts (The Motet, Shockra) and saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum (Robert Walters 20th Congress), who performed on Kneeknocker. Past guests have included John Medeski, moe.s Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico, The Disco Biscuits Marc Brownstein, Galactics Stanton Moore and several members of Umphreys McGee, to name a few.
The band plays tonight at Milestones in Rochester, NY. For the complete tour itinerary, visit www.particlepeople.com.
