Reid Genauer took the stage with Phil & Friends last night at Jones Beach Amphitheater in Wantagh, NY. Genauer added guitar and vocals to Friend of the Devil midway through the show. Earlier this month, Lesh watched Reids acoustic performance at the Gathering of the Vibes and was so moved that he invited him on his tour bus to discuss the set.
Mickey Hart also sat in with the band last night during Liberty -> Road Runner -> Not Fade Away at the beginning of the show. Hart also joined the group Saturday at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA and Lesh emerged during Bembe Orishas opening set.
Friday at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, guitarist Derek Trucks performed with Phil & Friends for the entire second set.
The band plays tonight at the Scranton Cultural Center in Scranton, PA. For details, visit the official website.
