From Good Homes has announced the release of a new live CD due out September 10. Entitled Take Enough Home, the disc is comprised of highlights from the groups farewell concert on August 7, 1999 at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ. The final show was recorded to DA88 multi-track, so we’ve got a high-quality professional recording here, says saxophonist Dan Myers. I know there are recordings of that show floating around, but nothing will come close to sounding like this. This disc contains the hottest performances from the show, chosen by the band itself, mixed and mastered to sound the best that it possibly can. Then there’s the bonus track, from an old studio session. You won’t be able to find that anywhere else. It feels great to be getting some of this stuff out there for the fans.’
From Good Homes has tons of recorded material ‘in the vault’…entire records worth of great stuff that has never seen the light of day’, adds
Skip Daly of Bos Music, the Washington DC-based indie label that will release the album. Our hope is that this live release will allow us to reconnect with the fan base, expose the music to some new folks, and allow us to follow up with some more music from the FGH vault down the road.’
More information will be available soon at www.fromgoodhomes.com.
