Last night at Tobacco Road in New York City, DJ Logic joined Experimental Duo (or X2 for short), which features drummer Matt Abts (Govt Mule) and keyboardist Johnny Neel (formerly of the Allman Brothers Band). The show was a birthday party for Neel, who turned 48. Prior to the encore, everyone in attendance sang Happy Birthday. The concert also featured guest appearances by Jimmy Vivino (_Late Show with Conan OBrien_), Danny Louis, Seth Feinberg and Olga Wilhelmine, who opened the show.
Abts and Neel are members of both Blue Floyd and BeatleJam, the latter of which will tour in July. Johnny also appears on three tracks of Govt Mules forthcoming album, The Deep End Vol. II.
