Carlos Santana and Cecil Peanut Daniels sat in with Widespread Panic this weekend as the band kicked off its fall tour with a three-night stand at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Daniels joined the group on percussion at all three shows and also played saxophone on Down and Stir It Up Saturday night and Pickin Up The Pieces last night. Santana emerged to play guitar at the beginning of the second set last night for Casa Del Grillo, Me and the Devil Blues, Maggot Brain and Red Hot Mama. He then moved to percussion for an extended drum solo.
Widespread Panic plays tomorrow at Keys Arena in Seattle, WA. For the complete fall schedule, visit www.widespreadpanic.com.
