Los Platanos Fritos will perform this Wednesday at the Skybox in Fairfield, CT. The group was put together by Deep Banana Blackout percussionist Johnny Durkin and features the DBB Horns (Hope Clayburn, Rob Somerville and Bryan Smith) as well as keyboardist Cy Madan (DBB), Damon Grant on congas, bassist Rich Zerkowski (Electric Hill) and drummer Hanz Broeking (Electric Hill). The band made its debut this past Wednesday at the Skybox and showcased a variety of sounds ranging from Latin to jazz to funk.
