The Allman Brothers Band’s Beacon Theatre run continued last night, with some familiar faces joining the group on stage. Guitarist Derek Trucks’ wife, Susan Tedeschi appeared during the first set on guitar and vocals for “Coming Home” and “That Did It.” She later returned at the end of the evening for the “One Way Out” encore along with singer/guitar player Junior Mac (who is a member of Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band). Mac performed on Duane Allman’s gold Les Paul, which Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks had used earlier in the run. Back to set one, Tedeschi was followed by John Scofield, who lent his own guitar to the final two songs, “It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry” and “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.” The second set, which was marked by a massive Mountain Jam,” also saw James van der Bogert guest on drums during “44 Blues.”
