Mihali has announced a new set of shows across North America, slated for March and April as part of his Lifted Tour 2024. The tour will kick off at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colo., on March 5 and make 18 stops, including evenings in Chicago, Detroit, Boston and New York. Particular shows on the tour will include a live band, while the remaining dates will showcase Mihali’s innovative solo act, marking this his most extensive solo tour to date.
Mihali is set to be joined on stage by his touring band for gigs in Denver, Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, Portland, Maine and Boulder, Colo. Members include drummer Adrian Tramontano, keyboardist Scott Hannay, hornists Michael Oehmen and Michael Bafundo and bassist Zdenek Gubb.
Mihali will showcase his live looping act for the remaining shows, during which he builds songs one instrument at a time before singing and soloing over the real-time versions. Saxophonist Michael Oehmen will join Mihali for additional layers on top of the reggae singer’s signature guitar and lofty vocals. The collaboration will lead to a unique experience for every show as Mihali and Oehmen improv and build from each other’s sound.
“I couldn’t be more excited to get back on the road for so many headlining dates. I have a ton of new music ready to show everyone,” says Mihali. “I’m extremely honored to have my brother Gubb joining me on bass for all upcoming band shows. There’s no one I would rather have holding down the low end than him.”
After the tour comes through The Bowery Ballroom in New York on April 9, Mihali will play a run of festival shows through the Eastern region of the U.S., including performances at Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie in Chillicothe, Ill., on May 24 through 26 and Northlands Music & Arts Festival in Swanzey, N.H., on June 14 and 15. Mihali will wrap up his festival run at Reggae Rise Up Maryland in Baltimore on June 23.
The Lifted Tour 2024 dates come on the heels of Mihali’s previous tours, including his Winter Sessions Residency series at the Pickle Barrel Nightclub in Killington, Vt., which came to a close on Jan. 24. The singer is currently on the road for an 11 show support of the alternative-reggae band, The Movement, across Florida, Texas, Arizona and California with a final show slated for Cali Vibes Festival in Long Beach, Calif., on Feb. 16 through 18.
General on-sale begins Friday, Feb. 9, at 12 p.m. local time. For more information, visit www.mihalimusic.com.
