A conjugal nexus links events that took place in Florida and New Jersey over the weekend. Guitarist Derek Trucks and his wife Susan Tedeschi collaborated with other artists on Friday and Saturday respectively. On Friday at Mexicali Blues in Teaneck, NJ, acid jazz progenitor Melvin Sparks joined the Derek Trucks Band for Feels So Bad (Sparks had opened the show with his current group). The next night at The Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale Tedeschi contributed to the Codetalkers first set (an apt appearance given the fact that she recorded the song Hampmotized on her latest release Wait For Me.)
