On Saturday night at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ the latest incarnation of Amfibian performed at a gig billed as Anthony Krizan & Friends. Now a quintet, Amfibian was comprised of the band’s founder Tom Marshall along guitarist Krizan, Chris Metaxas on keys, bass player Bob Kay, drummer Joe Larsen and Shannon Sanderson on vocals and percussion. The group offered much of the material from its From The Ether disc, with Bernie Worrell also guesting on ‘Has It Really Come to This?’ as well as a version of ‘She Came In Through The Bathroom Window’ that segued into Amfibian’s ‘Isolate.’
