Moogfest will take place at BB King’s Place in NYC on May 18. The event will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the analog synthesizer created by Robert Moog. Performers at the event will include Rick Wakeman (yes), Eumir Deodato (perhaps best known to many for his arrangement of ‘Also Sprach Zarathurstra’), Bernie Worrell, Suzanne Ciani, the NYC Reggae Collective and Pamelia Kurstin (aka the Rollerskating Thereminist). A documentary based on the life of Moog is set for release this year.
